Our Story
Founded by Dean DeGross in 1992, Quality Homes quickly built a reputation for excellence and attention to detail. Since then, we have partnered with our customers, bringing more than 1,400 homes to life. For over 25 years, our homes have seen retirement dreams come true, raised families, celebrated birthdays and graduations, hosted holiday parties, family dinners, and have been the envy of neighbors and friends.
For over 25 years, our homes have protected loved ones, comforted families, and served as a shelter from the storms of life. In fact when Hurricane Charley tore a path through Charlotte County in 2004, destroying entire neighborhoods, our homes had very little, if any, damage. When neighbors lost roofs, we lost a few shingles. Where friends lost walls, we replaced a few pieces of soffit. Where loved ones lost their family photos and valuable heirlooms, we simply replaced a few windows and repaired pool cages. These facts reflect our mission and our name – Quality Homes.
For over 25 years, our homes have been sought after by Realtors® and homebuyers, not only for their resale value, but for the lasting quality and attention to detail. The founder/owner and President of Quality Homes, Dean DeGross. Twenty-six years ago, Mr. DeGross had a dream to be the best in his community and through his accomplishments has gained the respect of the industry. He now works daily to better position Quality Homes as an industry leader.
Kalyn DeGross, who will cheerfully greet you at the office door or over the phone. Her responsibilities are growing daily as her capabilities grow as the receptionist.
Lee Hansen, an extremely versatile and talented sales professional. Lee has the technical ability to put your ideas on paper to let our customers see the house design come to life. His knowledge of the industry has helped hundreds of customers design and build their new home.
Irene Kromm whom has been at Quality Homes since the very beginning. Irene handles the office accounting, job budgets and making sure everyone is on their toes taking care of business and working her accounting magic.
Britany Neptune, who grew up around the building industry with her dad, Dean. Britany has come into her own as a significant talent behind the organization of permitting and scheduling multiple projects with efficiency and accuracy. Britany is also the in-house design consultant and takes our customers effortlessly through the selection process.
Bo Owens, who with his enthusiasm and growing skill sets keeps the houses on budget and on time as the Construction Superintendent.
Jim Weisberg, Co-Owner, V.P. and Licensed Contractor. On board since the early 2000’s doing projects with Dean until coming on full time in 2004. He has his capable hands on the daily operations.
