Founded in 1992 by Dean DeGross, Quality Homes of Port Charlotte, Inc. is a family-owned and operated custom homebuilding company that has earned a reputation as one of the premier custom home builders in Southwest Florida. When Hurricane Charley hit Charlotte County in 2004, entire neighborhoods were devastated, but our homes sustained only minor damage. Dean DeGross – Founder, Owner & President

Dean founded Quality Homes of Port Charlotte, Inc. 33 years ago with a dream to be the best homebuilder in his community. Through dedication, hard work, and an unwavering commitment to quality, he has earned the respect of homeowners and the industry alike. Dean’s hope is to leave a lasting legacy for his family while continuing to build homes that stand the test of time.

Jim Weisberg – Managing Partner, Co-Owner & Licensed Contractor

Jim has been a vital part of the Quality Homes family since the early 2000s. As Managing Partner and Licensed Contractor, he keeps his capable hands on every project, ensuring each home meets our high standards for quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. Jim’s experience and dedication help make the homebuilding process smooth and worry-free for every homeowner.

Britany Neptune – Project Manager & Design Consultant

As Dean’s daughter, Britany has grown up in the homebuilding world and brings a lifetime of passion and knowledge to the team. Today, she shines as our Project Manager and in-house Design Consultant, guiding homeowners through the building process and helping them create spaces that feel truly their own. With a dedication to carrying on her father’s vision, Brittany ensures that every home reflects the quality and care our family business is known for.

Kalyn DeGross – Permitting Coordinator & Social Media

Kalyn grew up in Port Charlotte and, like Britany, has been around the homebuilding industry her entire life. She is at the forefront of every project, from the moment a contract is signed to when the permit is issued. With excellent multi-tasking skills and a dedication to upholding Quality Homes’ reputation, Kalyn ensures every home starts off on the right foot while keeping our community connected through social media.

Tonie Wilson – Receptionist

We like to joke that Tonie is our “Chaos Coordinator,” calming the storms and keeping everyone on track. Since joining the team in 2021, she has become part of the Quality Homes family. Always ready with a smile, Tonie greets visitors at the front desk or answers calls with her uncanny way of making everyone feel welcome.

Lana Damsky – Accountant

Lana brings over 18 years of accounting experience to the Quality Homes family. Her skill, determination, and dedication ensure our books stay precise and every project stays on budget. Lana’s expertise keeps our operations running smoothly behind the scenes, making her an invaluable part of the team.

Bo Owens – Construction Superintendent

Bo has been part of the Quality Homes family since 2016 and is truly like one of our own. As Construction Superintendent, he oversees every home from the moment a permit is pulled until the keys are handed over. His enthusiasm, attention to detail, and ever-growing expertise keep projects on track and on time, ensuring each home meets the high standards we promise our customers.

Albert Nunez – Warranty Coordinator

Albert has been part of the Quality Homes family for nearly two years and brings an extensive background in new construction. He is on our job sites daily, ensuring every detail meets our high standards of quality. Always wearing a smile, Albert treats our homeowners with respect and makes sure every home is move-in ready at the end of each project. We’re thrilled to have him on our team!

Logan DeGross – Salesman

Logan, Dean’s son, grew up around the building industry and is following in his father’s footsteps. A local Floridian with extensive knowledge of Charlotte County, Logan’s warm demeanor makes it easy for customers to trust him with their new home. Always ready to chat about your dream home, costs, ideal locations or even the best local fishing spots, Logan brings both expertise and a personal touch to every conversation.

Gary Grennell – Salesman

Gary brings extensive experience in real estate and new construction homes to the Quality Homes team. He works closely with his customers from contract to Certificate of Occupancy, making sure every step of the process is smooth and stress-free. Dedicated and dependable, Gary does whatever it takes to ensure his homeowners are happy and confident in their new home.
